Haliey Welch, the internet personality known as "Hawk Tuah Girl," claims to have been cleared by both the SEC and FBI following the collapse of the HAWK memecoin project. The token’s market capitalization nosedived from $491 million to under $100 million, leaving investors with estimated losses of $180,000.
On her Talk Tuah podcast, Welch revealed she underwent questioning by federal investigators and surrendered her phone to regulators. Despite initially championing HAWK as a compliant, fan-driven token, she now disavows the project, citing a lack of cryptocurrency understanding.
